Dubliners share what they think makes Dublin a spectacular city

It’s a bit nice, like.

WE MAY NOT be getting the weather this year, but that won’t stop us showing Summer 2014 who’s boss.

One of the many amazing events happening around the country this summer is the free City Spectacular festival, taking place from 11-27 July in Dublin and Cork.

In the run up to the festival, Dubliners were asked what makes the Big Smoke spectacular – here’s what they said.

History is everywhere – the GPO, Kilmainham Gaol, Glasnevin Cemetery
You can never complain about there being nothing to do (even though we do complain)
Lots of amazing restaurants and great food
Beautiful parks and green spaces
Looking up and spotting beautiful, almost-hidden architecture
